Before you can say, this is a luxury vehicle, it's not really practical, it can't do
Practical transport from A to B, but you can't really say that after these vehicles have gone from Peking to Paris.
It's no longer really possible to say that.
And they believe, they really truly believe that this is one of those stories that will be told as a bedtime story for generations to come and that the the names of the drivers will kind of live forever in in the way that we think of, you know, Shackleton, for example.
And that just isn't the case.
It's really quickly forgotten.
And there's a few reasons for that.
So in part there's a race that takes place the very next year, which is meant to go from New York to Beijing to Peking, and that is a complete
Disaster and a bit of a write-off.
And so that kind of treads on the initial success and initial glory of the peaking to Paris.
You also have the fact that it's very clear the following year when the Model T Ford comes out that it's no longer the old world and France in particular that's going to be the epicenter of the car.
It's now America.
And there was no American participant in the journey.
And so because the automobile
I'm sad that not enough people know it because it's such an incredible story that it it really deserves kind of wider recognition.
You know, part of being an adult is dealing with discomfort.
They see him getting onto the 742 train from Slough to London.
They're not quite in time to prevent him getting on the train.
but they see him and they see which carriage he gets into.
It's kind of playing a role in the capture of a wrongdoer or an evil person.
