Since the fragile ceasefire took hold early last month, the reported death toll by the Gaza health ministry has continued to climb.
More than 350 of those deaths have been from Israeli strikes during the ceasefire.
Hundreds more have been recently added to the toll as bodies, some buried in the rubble for many months, have been retrieved during the relative calm.
Throughout the war, Israel has repeatedly denied targeting civilians and the accuracy of the figures from Gaza.
The United Nations often cites the Gaza health ministry numbers and says they're credible.
Several international studies have estimated the total death toll is likely much higher.

This has been part of a pattern of Trump deploying the National Guard to Democratic-led cities around the country, often against the wishes of local governors and authorities.
Unlike in the 50 states, the president has the authority to deploy the National Guard in D.C.,
A few hundred Israeli soldiers and several armored vehicles raided the Palestinian town of Tubas outside of Nablus, according to the mayor.
Israel said it was part of a, quote, broad counterterrorism operation in the area.
