disordered eating would be like the the step before you have a full blown eating disorder, but eating disorder criteria voice-verified

to be diagnosed with eating disorder has expanded in a lot of people who think that I just am struggling in this, like I'm just dabbling in the disordered eating. voice-verified

if I open the DSM with them and I say, okay, da da da da, they meet all the criteria really easily. voice-verified

So I just say that to say that that's something so s so common that we hear that like, well it's not that it's not bad enough. voice-verified

And I sometimes it comes from a place of denial and sometimes I comes from a place of voice-verified

embarrassment or shame or guilt for like thinking I have a problem when other people have it worse. voice-verified

I just want to put that out there that I hear very commonly that this isn't that bad and then I actually hear what they're doing and I'm like, oh this is voice-verified

not great and eating disorders are progressive diseases, they only get worse and worse and worse. voice-verified

So if you're 47 and you still have all of these, you don't ever get help by 60, by 65, we don't know what's gonna happen if you never work on any of these behaviors. voice-verified
