Imagining you've got this like hero's journey to this one mountaintop called Joya.

It's a horrible way of being like, So congratulations on your career.
All the people you enjoyed it with are no longer with you.
That's right.
I think that not waiting for joyful moments to be joyful is probably smart.
I do think though there's three little like tells for whether something is likely to make you more joyful.
And one of them is um does it make you say thank you?
And there's just like a lot of emphasis, I think overemphasis on gratitude journals.
Um if you look at the studies, I they will say that there's a limited benefit to gratitude, meaning you can write down a couple things every day that will say, Thank you so much for my life.
If you start to write down too many things, all you
done is make yourself back into the robot homework optimized self that is much more likely than to make yourself miserable with too much gratitude homework.

But but if you look at moments that just unexpectedly reminded you that that it might not have been that way.
Yeah.
I f those are usually a place to
pause and then wonder, is there something in my past that actually bubbled up into joy like this?
And it will remind you to be hopeful then that something like that
is probably going to come visit you.
