And I think if you can't find a person in your close friends or family to have these conversations, then maybe start looking if there's some events you can go to this year.

You might have to find a spot where you can have these conversations if that doesn't exist in your current world.

I mean, it's not one of my lessons, but one of the biggest things that finally just hit me on the head, I mean, I should have always known this, but it finally came into my awareness during 2022 was that everyone just makes it up as they go along.

No one's worked out how to adult.

They're just figuring it out.

And then if you can find people that are a few steps ahead of you on that figuring it out journey, then you can learn from them.

And it makes it a little bit easier to take your first steps as well.

The fourth one, if we go back one, two, one, two, it'll be confusing.

So the fourth one on our list is writing down your investment plan and the reason for making each investment.

Now, this is a reminder to myself as much as anything, because as much as I say that, I still don't do it all the time.

So, I mean, whether that's something I should start doing or

is something I probably need to work on, but it does help if you write, especially if you're confused and trying to figure this out and you're feeling a bit lost, writing down what you know so far and how much you're going to invest and when you invested and

what the reasons are at the time you make that decision.

And then down the track, whether it was a good decision or a bad decision.

And it depends because it might have been a really good decision, but the market might fall and then you can reevaluate.

Or it might have been a bad decision, but you just fluke it.
