I've got a big family.
12 months is what I need.
And then that might be right for you.
And then you go off and do that.
You build your 12-month emergency fund and you can invest with a lot more security.
You can sleep at night.
And that's because it works for you.
And I think that's...
People can get caught up in those traditional personal finance rules, like those phrases and the things that people talk about a lot.
But at the end of the day, you've got to find the right approach to you.
And I'd say everyone that's listening to the podcast has a different approach to investing, to their finances, to their overall strategy and how they manage their money.
And that's because they're starting to work out their own approach.
Yeah.
And I think it's also a reminder not to compare yourself now that's a lot easier said than done.
I think we all end up comparing ourselves at some point about one aspect of our lives, whether it's our appearance or our success at business or not so success of business or our investing journey or what that person bought or that holiday.
But
Yeah, it's just coming back to what do you actually want in your life and what does that look like?
And not spending all your time thinking about what everyone else is doing and everyone else living their best life on Instagram and not their real life on Instagram.
On the topic of habits, I think it's really important to celebrate those small wins along our journey because having a big lofty goal of saving $10,000 is massive.
But if you can celebrate in a healthy way, so not just go and spend all the money you just saved, but celebrate saving your first $500 and then your first $1,000 and tell a friend.
