And so we enter into this world of this woman and, well, shall we go straight to explaining what the number 121 means?
I guess we have to.
This is the 121st time that this woman has woken up on the same day.
She has woken up on the 18th of November and she tells us,
I no longer expect to wake up to the 19th of November and I no longer remember the 17th of November as if it were yesterday because instead she is reliving the 18th of November over and over and over again.
And at one point, because she stays in a hotel, she calls her husband to talk to him about the day.
And so we're getting her as a professional person.
We're getting her in terms of her relationship with this man living what seems to be an ordinary life.
She stays overnight in a hotel.
And that's when she starts to notice that something is a bit odd, but it's tiny, tiny details.
A man drops a piece of bread and she's looking at the newspaper.
She says, I've already read this.
You've given me the wrong newspaper.
They say, no, this is correct.
And so it takes her a little while to work out that something has happened and she appears to be having this same day again, this same experience again.
