We mentioned earlier that Michael Pedersen had written a memoir called Boyfriends.
My understanding is that he is not gay.
He has a wife whose name's Holly McNeish, but he was very close to a man called Scott Hutchison, who was the lead singer of a band called Frightened Rabbit.
Now, back in 2018...
Just two days after Michael Pedersen and Scott Hutchison had been away on a trip together, Scott disappeared and his body was found in the water.
And it's understood that he did take his own life.
And this clearly was shattering for Michael Pedersen in the subject of this much admired book about that friendship and a memoir of that time he spent together.
Look, slightly over the top, Kate, might be one of the most downplaying expressions you've ever used on this program.
