We had two CAT buses, essential area transit buses, and there's quite a few in Perth City, which are great.
So it's a little free bus you hop on just in a loop.
Great.
We used to have two in Fremantle.
Both of them got rid of.
And honestly, we must be the only place in the entire planet that's removing public transport.
But, you know, I actually think you have to build it and they will come.
You have to give people fantastic public transport for them to use it and to be useful.
Well, decades of car ads and this is freedom.
Cars are freedom and you've got to get this big car and now we've got to get a bigger car.
I just think the most fortunate of places have the best.
I mean I worked for the London Underground for a long time so I'm a huge advocate.
But these systems make a place and they make people's lives easier and cheaper and quicker and easier.
I just think it's like the lifeblood, getting people around.
How fortunate to be able to step onto a platform and go, I know there'll be a train in five minutes or less.
It's such a joy.
You know, my dad's very politically engaged, so I guess that was just the landscape of how I grew up.
But, I mean, maybe it's also living in a city and I get around on foot mostly.
I see stuff, you know.
I get around and look and see and think.
