I don't think I bought this.
This must have been a gift, but um Anne Willon had these um look and cook books that I think DK published.
There was one that was like chocolate desserts, which you know as a kid I'm just like, oh.
And then the other one was like fruit desserts.
So you know, get all my food groups.
And um what was great is that they just had these like how-to photos.
Like they gave me as a kid
who really wanted to make all the things I wanted to eat that my mom was not gonna be making me.
But it was kinda like a magic trick, right?
Like if I follow this, I will get this result.
Like I never got the the mirror glaze to look like it did in the book.
But um I don't think I bought those books, but I do remember them and still have them.
Yeah.
Just to summarize, it's really about the user experience of cookbooks and cookbook design and whether or not publishers use focus groups or other outside sort of sources to get input on how to better design books to make them probably more usable in the kitchen.
Is that does that kind of how much is it an art versus how much is it research driven?
