For me, the qualm that I've had is why haven't they sort of done that in years past?
Because for me, there's a couple of years that feel like maybe they didn't take their medicine and tried to get through, tried to rebuild on the run, so to speak.
And if they hadn't done that and had just conceded maybe our future needs to be a rebuild, I feel like they'd be a couple of years ahead of where they are right now.
They've conceded that.
And Brad Scott a few weeks ago conceded, like, we are here, I'm here for the now, we're rebuilding this club.
And that's where they're at.
And I think now that they've conceded that, there has to be a change in expectation on what we expect to see from Essendon because they're at that point.
And you do have the years that are significantly tougher.
And I know this is hard for Essendon fans to hear because they've had four years of it or more.
But, yeah, I think they've wasted a couple of years on their list with how they tried to rebuild on the run for me.
Because a few months ago he was apparently keen to renegotiate and sign on.
Yep.
You can, and I understand that sentiment of feeling sorry for him in the sense that he's been there for so long, but he did sign a long-term deal.
Yeah, and that's the thing.
So you can't sign a long-term deal and have your cake, so to speak, and eat it too.
So be a younger player.
I cannot say what I know.
He could still be leading the way he was.
I can't say.
