A few months later, I called my agent because she's my friend and I needed advice.
And I believe that people can say no to you and you can still love them.
They get to have boundaries.
They can disappoint you and you don't withhold your love.
But I called her because she's smart and I wanted her opinion.
By the end of that conversation, she said, I need to revisit this book.
That was because who I was being.
was different.
A whole different energy.
She got the book.
She ended up shaping the book.
She got me an amazing book deal.
The book is integral to her.
So that's what I mean, like we're sourcing ourselves and our lives from the identity we're centered in.
But the true you is actually a flexible you.
If I say, okay, I'm not a perfect person,
And I'm open to learning and growing and becoming who I'd need to be to create that book.
Now I'm a fluid self.
The old false centers are a fixed identity.
They never change.
