So yeah, so we're either going to be the next Rory McIlroy or the next Pat Byrne.

Within the community, I used to joke about the fact that, you know, if something was going on, you'd come to Patsy first, my mum.

If she couldn't sort you out, then you went to the chemist.

And then if he couldn't sort you out, you went to the doctor.

So I think that showed me a life, if you like, and the importance of the nursing profession beyond just in the hospital world.

I remember saying to my mum as she was driving me home, well, that's it, now I don't need to do the leaving cert.

And I was firmly told that I did.

And while the girl could be taken out of Ballin Killin... I used to joke with my mom that she sent me off totally unprepared because I used to phone home from England to know was it okay to go out.

So I didn't know any different.

My first shop, I ended up in Marks and Spencer's and spent probably the first week's wages on food shopping is what I'm talking about.
