So I feel very much that at the time of Sanchez's trial, if Judge Carney had had the option, he would have said to serve a minimum of whatever number of years before consideration for parole.

So it sounds very simple.

But unfortunately, as we know, the justice system isn't that simple.

So there's a lot of laws that will have to be changed.

And when I first started talking about that, I was told that it would not be possible, that it would be unconstitutional.

That didn't make sense to me because if a guard or a prison officer is killed in the line of duty, the perpetrator in that case has an automatic sentence of 40 years.

But certainly when it comes to the murder of a child, I do believe that that should be the case.

Because that betrayal goes beyond, I think, the human thought process in many ways.

I suppose that's my next project, to start pushing for that.

So what happens when he is eventually released?

But that's not going to be my responsibility or unless he turns up in Ballin Killin and that's a whole other conversation.

But, you know, I could turn around and say if I was to see him in front of me right now, would I kill him?

No, because that's not me.

I'm not, that's not the person that I am.

Would I want to?

Yeah.

And I'll say it till I'm blue in the face.

He should not be in this world.
