he's written many books, but The Dot is his most famous.

And he has a great story.

And I think this story illustrates one approach, um, what we want to find for our kids.

He was not a particularly good student.

He called himself off the path.

He was in math class in seventh grade and he was doodling in his notebook and probably not paying attention.

And his teacher called him in after school and he was worried.

He thought, Oh, I'm gonna get in trouble again for doodling.

And his teacher said, Peter.

I wonder if you could help me.

I have a challenge.

Peter said, Well, what is it?

He was like, Great, I'm not getting in trouble.

And the teacher said, A lot of the kids in this class don't understand the topics we are covering right now in math.

And I've noticed your drawing ability.

And I'm wondering if you'd be willing to make a comic, to draw a comic to explain this particular concept to the rest of the class.

Peter was over the moon.

And he dedicated the dot to his seventh grade teacher because this was life changing for him.

So his teacher saw instead of saying, Hey, stop doodling in your notebook and pay attention, his teacher said, I see a strength.
