So I always have kept in touch with the founder of the program who's actually very well known in the field of gifted education, Joan Franklin Smutney.
She's out of Chicago and she runs the Center for Gifted, which is also now called the Midwest Torrent Center for Creativity.
And she's just pioneered this.
She worked with Paul Torrance.
Um, she's been pioneering these classes for since the seventies, I think.
So and she's still running this program and helping thousands and thousands of kids every year to really engage in learning and get excited about learning.
Absolutely, and that story was the story of Gillian Lynn.

And I love that story.
And after I had started.
my Ignite Creative Learning Studio, which was modeled after Joan Sputney's enrichment programs.
After I had started it, I had come across the element by Ken Robinson.
And I just read the book thinking, oh my gosh, this is everything that I think.
This is exactly what I'm talking about.
What I what I'm trying to do.
And the thing is, as he points out, I mean, she I don't know when that was, probably the mid nineteen hundreds, maybe it was the nineteen thirties when she had that experience.
But this issue of creative thinkers, different thinkers not being understood in the traditional educational environment is historic.
