The last story was also full of autobiographical moments.
In wallpaper and paint, the desire to and act of pulling on a loose corner of wallpaper was definitely a part of my childhood.
My mom, I feel like, must have come across some amazing bargain at Value City.
Does anybody remember Value City?
Oh my gosh, I had to just stop and Google it.
They sort of still exist, but mostly I just wanted to see the logo again.
Anyway, Mary Beth must have gotten a great deal on wallpaper at some point in the late 80s and early 90s because I feel like she wallpapered every room of every house we lived in, and we lived in several.
I got to look up some really fun patterns of wallpaper as I wrote the story, and man there are some creative designs out there.
Still not wallpapering anything.
Sorry, Mom.

And while a sea foam green will always tickle my fancy, I can't get enough of vermilion lately.
And why do we all feel in our guts like vermilion should be a shade of green, but it is red?
