So I will be honest, I get nervous when I hear people talking about President AOC, which would be my dream, President Jasmine Crockett.
But I also hear those voices that say, did you not learn your lesson the last time?
So right now, I think the part that we have to understand more than anything is we have to have the same party unity that they have.
And so we have to stop being apologists.
And when people say I've given up on the Democratic Party and they're Democrats, I just go, yeah, that's all great, except look at the alternative and we're living it.
So that's the part that I struggle with is the folks that are looking for the perfect person when I don't know if our country is ready for a woman of color.
I guess I also, by the way, this is a gay man.
Don, I'm telling you, when I'm in Kentucky doing shows, they're not having a gay man any more than a woman of color.
And I wish I could say I've just come off tour and I realized that we're ready now.
I almost feel like we were more ready in the fucking 90s than we are now.
So I don't know what's making everybody so nervous.
But the most important thing is that we unify because we do have a great.
bitch.
I mean, we have Pete as a great candidate.
We have many great candidates possible that I think would make incredible presidents.
But it's also all about the down ballot.
And I think people still don't understand that.
I know more people than I care to admit that voted just for the presidential and didn't bother to look for the sheriff.
I mean, I'm a fiend about this stuff.
