So uh thank you for the introduction.
Uh my name is Katie Brown and um I'm a medical speech pathologist in Buffalo, New York, and I own a private practice called Neuro Speech Solutions, where I see mostly just adults with acquired neurogenic disorders.
Um, my practice has grown, starting out in the back of my beat up 2006 Honda Accord, where my trunk was my office, um, to pivoting to teletherapy in my son's nursery.
to now owning a brick and mortar clinic with multiple employees.
So um, you know, I got my start out with Jenna.
Like she said, she's known me since I said, I'm gonna quit my job and start a private practice.
And she's gotten to see um she's gotten to see it flourish, which is which is great.
Um and like she said,
Uh I'm a mentor for Start Your Private Practice Now and I help people a lot who have adult focused private practices.
I answer all of those questions.
And a lot of those questions, let's get serious, have to do with Medicare because Medicare is just
Big and scary to a lot of people who are just starting out.
Yes, so it definitely has shaped my experience.
Um, I did
I had to do multiple corrections for my first application.
Um, you know, my first b application was back in two thousand and nineteen.
And
I remember submitting it and making a tons of silly mistakes like um forgetting a comma in my uh business name or
