So I wanted to be out here tonight with people who are forward-looking,

People who understand the stakes and that we have to stand up for not just our individual rights, but for the rights of everyone across this country.

And we must be the light for each other.

Don't lose heart.

I am in the belly of the beast every day in Congress, and I have not lost heart.

I have not lost heart.

They will not break us.

They will not break us because we understand that is our collective power that is much more powerful than any intimidation that this administration will bring to bear.

And I wanted to bring my friend Mohsen Madawi with me today because he has a powerful story to tell about standing up, not just for his own First Amendment rights, but for all of us.

So I'm going to turn the microphone over to Mohsen so he can tell you his story.

And you will understand why he is an inspiration for so many people, not just back in Vermont, but across this country.
