I think a lot of the problems in this episode come down to screenwriters throwing a lot of logic out the window for the sake of staging and giving their actors dynamic scenes.
So like I think the dumbest people in this whole episode are Rainier and Damon.
Who walk alone into the red keep, so where like the moment the moment the frickin' Kings guard come out, it's like, well, it's ten against two, you know.

Well, no, I don't think it's the characters being stupid.
To me, this is like the screenwriters are being stupid.
Like when I see Alicent like walking by herself into the gold cloak room, I'm like, Yeah my first reaction is not Alicent is stupid.
My first reaction is like this was a screenwriter who should have been like why is she doing this by herself?
Like why is she in this environment by herself?
