Also when you get through the most devastating part of grief, I think what you end up doing is having a a really singular understanding of what it means that you have some life left.

and an appreciation for the inevitability of death and the importance of I think of trying to do something
with those remaining years that that you have.
Absolutely.
With grief you have reason to
Despair.
It's a human thing.
It's a um particularly I think with a husband and wife or with a child where you have that kind of incredible bond.
How could you not respond by enormous grief, by enormous sorrow, by changes in how you think, how you sleep, how you feel and so forth?
That doesn't mean it's madness and and one of the things that
I think that a a lot of us who treat depression would say is, you know, of course there are gonna be some people who are both depressed and grieving and um the death of someone else can certainly trigger depression in people who are vulnerable.
Grief can make existing depression worse.
So what you don't want is you don't want to medicalize the human condition.
You don't want to put people into therapy and put them on medications because
what they are experiencing is the most natural thing in the in the world.
On the other hand, you definitely don't want people to suffer unnecessarily.
You don't want people to be depressed when the depression is very treatable.
And yet and yet
That's true.
