So that hope keeps you alive.

And uh we had terrific documents.

That's true, that's true.

We were fortunate that colleagues of ours were molecular biologists and cancer researchers.

And and he was treated terrific hospital, you know, Hopkins is a really good hospital.

So he got really good care.

But at you know, at the end end of the day, if you've got

a lethal cancer, you've got a lethal cancer and

I think good care gave us maybe six months longer than we would have had or a year.

And I'm grateful for every single moment of that, you know.

But still it was certainly written in the cards that he was gonna die.

That was a horrified me really m more than amazed.

I I couldn't imagine not being with him when he died, and I was with him when he died actually as it turned out, but there was a possibility that he would die during the night.

So I stayed at a hotel that was just a few blocks away from the ho hospital so that they could call me and l and let me know.

But I had been losing a lot of sleep.

that night I knew that if I didn't sleep through the night I was really going to risk getting manic.

And all of my relationship with Richard, because he was so sort of steady on, he was always emphasizing, you know, you've got to get sleep, take your medications.

You know, he was a very kind of orderly soul in many respects.

And whenever I would go out of the country or on a trip somewhere
