So to me, it's like, hey, this is not just like you have heavy periods or you have PCOS.
There could be so many different things going on and we need to look into that.
So how seed cycling works and why we love it so much is that there's a lot of controversy around cycle syncing right now, right?
Like everybody's kind of for it or against it.
And cycle syncing is changing your behavior based on where you're at in your cycle.
Sounds very exhausting.
We are not proponents of doing that.
But seed cycling is a light version of doing this.
So you introduce different seeds depending on where you're at in your cycle.
So the first half of your cycle, it's flax and pumpkin, and that is to support estrogen.
So your estrogen is rising at that point.
And then the second half is sesame and sunflower, and that's to support progesterone, which is rising in the second half of your cycle.
I truly believe you can get these nutrients from a lot of different foods, but seed cycling is a very easy way to do this.
So for example, with flax, that has lignans, right?
Which are a phytoestrogen.
And there's some controversy there because people are like, well, you don't want to introduce phytoestrogens.
What if you're estrogen dominant?
Like that doesn't make any sense.
But these lignans actually, what the research does show, and there's really cool stuff out there, like Dr. William Lee points to a lot of this stuff, is that it has more of a modulating effect.
So it's actually weaker than your body's own estrogens.
