And we should also talk about Patrick's mother who took the stand.
This was pretty striking because she was not only testifying for Lindsay's defense, but she also described Lindsay as a wonderful mother.
She said she was nurturing and deeply loving towards her children.
And this is, of course, despite knowing that Lindsay killed her three grandchildren.
Yes.
And it was at that point, Rachel, that the jury were shown messages in which Lindsay expressed fear about her medication and possible dependence on benzos.
In one message from November 30th, she wrote, quote, I'm not OK and I'm terrified of taking meds tonight.
In another referring to her possible dependence on the medication, she wrote, quote, no one is hearing that and addressing it.
And we keep throwing different meds in the mix that aren't really addressing the real issue.
And Rachel, one of the more dramatic moments this week actually came during cross-examination.
