In particular, some of the standout testimony this week was from the forensic psychologist who evaluated Lindsay after the killings.
Rachel, I think we just need to pick up on something that was said there, which was this question from the defense.
Did you lie and tell Lindsay to make up the voices?
Because that's actually something that came up previously in the trial, isn't it?
So I think it's important that this is now the first time in this timeline that Lindsay is telling someone about hearing
this man's voice telling her to kill her children and herself.
And she said that it was the first time that she had ever heard it on the day of those killings.
And this was over a week after the killings that she tells Patrick this on the phone.
And this is also very different from the testimony that we heard from her mother before where she had just expressed before the killings that she had thoughts about harming the kids and thoughts about harming herself.
But now Lindsay's saying the day of the killings, it was actually beyond thoughts and it was a voice that she heard.
I just want to make that clear to everybody.
And Rachel, I think we just need to pick up on something that was said there, which was this question from the defense.

Because that's actually something that came up previously in the trial, isn't it?
And I just want to play another very significant section of Dr. Ziesel's testimony.
Of course, we know the defense's case hinges on their claim that Lindsay was suffering from severe mental illness.
That meant she lacked the capacity when she killed her children and therefore should not be criminally responsible.
And this is what was put to Dr. Ziesel.
So that right there is basically the defense's entire argument.
