Men, Skip came by Blind Johnny's house often, and there was no one around to protect Teresa from him.

When he told her all of these fantastical tales of his Bigfoot encounters, she believed him.

And when he proposed a secret trip to the mountains, she jumped at the opportunity.

And then when Skip offered to give Teresa a ride to school that morning, blind Johnny said yes without thinking twice.

Teresa Beer's body never turned up.

Skip Welch died in 1998 from coronary artery disease at the age of 54, taking whatever he knew about Teresa's disappearance to his grave with him.

In 2025, there was a three-part documentary about Teresa's case called Bigfoot Took Her.

It premiered on HBO Max.

And during the documentary's production, Skip's great niece talked to the filmmakers and shared her belief that her great uncle may have buried.

The filmmakers made contact with the current owner, who agreed to search the current property with cadaver dogs.

And one of the hosts entered the crawl space beneath the house and did find bones.

The production team sent those bones to a county coroner, and the coroner examined them and concluded that they did belong to an animal.

Teresa Ann Beer remains a missing person, and if she were alive today, she would be fifty-five years old.

Like I said earlier, sometimes the scariest thing in the woods is a person you thought you could trust.

And though Skip tried to insist he did not know what happened to Teresa, in my opinion, this case was never a mystery.

Our next case, however, is kind of the opposite.

It's a real puzzle, the kind that still keeps an entire town up at night.
