This one comes in from anonymous.
Can you just yell it now and get it out of the way, please?
If you interrupt me with the yelling, you know what I mean.
What does the anonymous writer write?
My six-year-old has recently been coming to our room late at night saying he's having nightmares and he can't sleep.
They often are about monsters coming for him and his brother while sleeping in bed.
My first thought is to let him know that monsters aren't real and, in fact, more scary things do exist later in life, such as gas prices, mother-in-laws, and the IRD.
Although I stop myself from this advice as I feel it could just make matters worse, leading to even more nightmares and loss of sleep.
Please advise from one tired mama.
She doesn't hop out of bed now?
That seems pretty intense.
Yeah, and even though they're young, they sort of get that.
