So I think one of the biggest roles I think the FTC can play is around collaboration, because it's not really the role of the private sector operator or even the public sector operator to determine whether this transaction is fraudulent or that transaction is fraudulent.
It's up to the banks to decide, is this a good transaction, is it a bad transaction, and then report it back at a network level
So that then we can create the right algorithms to better predict another anomalous behavior in the network.
And so I think extending that, you know, from RTP to ACH to wires to check is where this is ultimately going to go.
So we can systemically reduce fraud across the entire payments ecosystem.
It's long-term aspirations, though.
Yeah, I actually hate to admit this one, but it's scams.
It's because I was recently taken by a scam.
Yeah, I bought something on Facebook Marketplace.
I thought I'd done my due diligence.
It was an admin for the group I was in.
He looked legit, paid it, guy disappeared.
So scams seems like y'all went out for those three to me.
Yeah, I was thinking about this one a little bit differently.
I was thinking interoperability was the odd one out in that, you know, open banking QR codes, kind of front end user experience associated with those typically and how they interact with payments.
Interoperability is more of a banking term and how the banks connect to the different networks and whether the different networks have interoperability with one another.
Like with ACH, you have the interoperator bridge between Fed ACH and EPN.
But there's other types of interoperability, right?
You have chips and Fedwire.
That's a different type of interoperability where the banks can connect to both and have choice, and they can decide how to route traffic.
