But didn't mention his name till later that evening after dinner, we went out dancing in Aspen and tried to get to know each other a little bit and hung out.
And it came up through the course of the evening only because a friend of mine who worked at the lounge that we were in came up to me when Nick was on the dance floor and I'll refer to her as Nick.
Cause that's what I always called her.
And said, that's, that's OJ's wife.
And I was like, Oh,
There you go.
And when she came back to the table, I just sort of asked her about it.
And she went, well, now, you know, cat's out of the bag.
But I learned more about their relationship, obviously, as our relationship moved forward and the stalking instance started.
Initially, she mentioned that he was an abusive husband, ex-husband.
She referred to him as ex-husband because they were going through a divorce process.
But she told me he was abusive.
And that's why she had come to Aspen to get away from him.
She had brought the children with her.
She just needed kind of an escape to clear her head.
