And actually do you know what?
Kids are really lucky and we're really lucky in many ways 'cause our money is so colourful.
It's bright, some of it's metal, some of its paper.
It's it's a real multi sensory thing.
It's got pictures all over it, different numbers.
So from a child's perspective
Giving them cash and when we're talking about pocket money and things, I feel it's really important to give them cash at the very beginning.
Um, just so they understand this concept of money that it's a real thing.
Because as we know, as we get older, it goes much more digital.
We're tapping cards, it gets a lot more esoteric and it's kind of this two degrees of separation.
But when kids are younger, absolutely, I would say
whether it's just giving them a little bit to go to the shop or pocket money or whatever way you try and do it.
That development milestone is really, really important.
This is a tough one because it'll really depend on the child, right?
So every parent, they'll know their child is ready for it at a different stage, but I think quite young.
And it could be something as simple as, let's say there's a particular, I don't know, comic or something that they like to get that they get on a weekly or monthly basis, that you give them the cash for it, you bring them into the shop.
Sell to the shopkeeper, they pick out their magazine, they hand over their money, they count it out, even if they don't understand what they're counting out yet, but they see that transaction happening and they get their little bit of change back with their with their comic.
That's a huge thing because we do this as adults day in, day out, in all different formats.
