So as early as you can, as you think they're able for it, I think that's very important.
And then when they get a little bit older, I would start putting a bit of structure on it.
And again, for younger children, when you're still in that cash phase, something as simple as three simple jam jars and you label them up.
savings, spending, and charity.
And I think this is very important because with money, all your money as an adult has different jobs.
And if you teach the kids early, there's not just one piece of money and it just gets this one thing.
They have to start breaking it down already.
And this is a key thing for adults who and a lot of adults don't fully understand this yet.
They didn't maybe have this when they were growing up.
But the reason why you'd break into those three things is it's important when you get money that you enjoy a little bit now, because we work very hard for it, be it in chores or in our jobs.
The second thing is saving, because if you want a home or if you want as a child a game or something like that, that saving jar is very important.
But the charity jar is really important as well and probably one of the most fundamental ones, because most of us can get our heads around spending and saving.
But the charity piece has two roles for a child.
One
You put your bit of money in.
And you get the child to pick a charity.
It could be an animal shelter or something like that.
And you bring them to that animal shelter or that charity or whatever it is that you you choose to soup kitchen, anything like that.
And they get to see this money doing something good.
