Absolutely.

And it's completely normalized in our culture, in our society.

And so oftentimes if we're drinking becomes problematic, somebody may bring that to our attention.

But oftentimes we're hanging around people who drink similarly as

And we all have an idea in our mind of what a quote unquote alcoholic looks like.

Absolutely.

And for many of us, even my parents' generation, a lot of family members abused substances.

It was, well, we never lost our job.

Right.

And, you know, I'm not dependent on it.

I can go days without drinking.

But then when I pick it back up, I can't stop.

Right.

So what we think of and what actually is problematic drinking needs to change.

And that's why I'm so excited to be here today to talk about that and how that's even changed since I got sober 13 years ago as a woman in recovery.
