It would immediately come from that $1.9 million in public safety cost reserve that's going to be depleted.
That's expected to have a zero budget.
But then it comes from the discretionary fund, which right now I believe only has a budget of $860,000.
So if those costs are over, what fund pays for that?
Which brings me to this waterfall consideration.
We have two different waterfall line items of an operating budget, one to be filled to $10 million, one to be filled to $20 million in a step afterwards.
And so
What this looks like to me is we are routinely going to shuffle money, rob Peter to pay Paul over the next few years to pay for capital projects.
And when those buckets can continue to be depleted, the money to the general fund continues to go down.
So I think that's my most important part to understand is when have we hit our threshold of saying, like, we really are in bad shape right now.
I couldn't look at that.
I think it's great that we treated this like a strong mortgage.
We're almost out of debt.
That's amazing.
But we have done no planning for the future.
And we have $1 million in a capital expense fund that needs $75 million.
