I want to know about the new office space because this again has come up this year.
Are we under any agreement in our management lease agreement or contractual obligation to fund this offsite administrative office space?
And again, if the answer is no, I want to understand why that request has surfaced.
From a governance standpoint, I just want the reassurance that our decision-making framework is structured with requests, I guess, that are evaluated on contractual obligation and not relational dynamics.
And then the budget notes that the public safety costs are not included here.
I understand that with the exception of the reimbursement for the host committee.
But in a worst case scenario, if those are delayed, reduced, disputed, and we're required to cover any portion of that, it looks like
It would immediately come from that $1.9 million in public safety cost reserve that's going to be depleted.
That's expected to have a zero budget.
But then it comes from the discretionary fund, which right now I believe only has a budget of $860,000.
So if those costs are over, what fund pays for that?
Which brings me to this waterfall consideration.
We have two different waterfall line items of an operating budget, one to be filled to $10 million, one to be filled to $20 million in a step afterwards.
And so
What this looks like to me is we are routinely going to shuffle money, rob Peter to pay Paul over the next few years to pay for capital projects.
And when those buckets can continue to be depleted, the money to the general fund continues to go down.
So I think that's my most important part to understand is when have we hit our threshold of saying, like, we really are in bad shape right now.
I couldn't look at that.
I think it's great that we treated this like a strong mortgage.
We're almost out of debt.
