Chef Dane Mecklen passed away on April 18th, 2025 from acute myeloid leukemia.

He survived by his wife, Karen Cornwell, three sons, Zachary, Joshua, Skyler, and his sister, Paige.

Dane lived a full and adventurous life traveling all over the world.

Dane secured his culinary degree from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco and went on to open a few restaurants in Cabo San Lucas before he settled down in Santa Clara with his wife, Karen.
