like maybe they're like look i'm fighting a losing battle all the other kids are using social media like my kid's gonna be considered a freak if i don't let them but like at the same time i i could kind of understand it with my parents generation like people my age will have been in the trenches of omegle and like on the worst parts of the internet in in like childhood you know um

and people my age are now parents and understand that but again are like aye aye you can have your phone I'm not going to keep an eye on what you're doing like is it just like too hard to have another responsibility in bringing up a child that you need to monitor

I know when I was, like, 12 or 13...

If I was bald, I wasn't allowed on the computer.

But I remember really feeling like I had outsmarted my parents because I would go in the front room and play my sister's Wii and there was a web browser on that.

Or if I was banished to my room and my phone was taken off me, you could access the internet through your PSP as well.

That's the thing is that that still remains to be the case where you take a kid's...

phone off them or laptop off them or their iPad or whatever they can still go on PlayStation or Xbox they can go on their smartwatch they can go on whatever and like those solutions will always be there but I wouldn't be surprised if this is my other prediction by the time we do our next episode someone's going to be putting a web browser in a vape for kids

you know like they're gonna just be sneaking them in everywhere but yeah and that's i i don't say that in like in a defeatist way i say that in a way that like parents need to be aware of that you know like they could be accessing the internet in the like last place you'd expect you they could be staring at the library and pretending that they're socializing yeah
