And A, they'll only know the Southeast Asia League, but not
the the fintech exposure overseas and number two is that they'll most likely be comfortable in one country because bankers are very siloed right in terms of how they operate, right?
Whereas we at least have a regional footprint or so that's what that's that was a one of the key theses as to how we could create a path to be number one.

And um so we knew that we had to do it anyway.
Uh also then the next question is that okay fine how do we do it in a market that how do we build a team locally also I think can really be
lucky initially when terms of the new team hires it could have gone horrendously wrong right so we managed to get Iwan Kunyawan uh who was a management consultant at Oliver Wyman and we connected with him.
Yeah.
We go through the same process of trashing out the toughest questions and whatnot and I think things checked out and he basically started the Indonesia uh t business uh for us we were like remotely manager of Singapore also and then we repeated the same process for Malaysia which we started one year after Indonesia.
So literally February
twenty fifteen we incorporate we started, but not quite incorporated.
Um also and then we launched in June twenty fifteen in Singapore.
We launched January twenty sixteen in Indonesia.
I mean it was launched during our summer holidays uh also and then Malaysia in February twenty seventeen.
quite quite shortly after.
Yeah.
So by being very lucky, that was the first thing that we hired.
