And by June 13th, they were at Godejohn's house in Big Bend.

And it might've held for a while too because no one was coming to check on Dee Dee Blanchard.

And she had made sure of that herself years ago because she didn't have a job.

She didn't let Gypsy go to school and she didn't have family nearby.

She had spent two decades pruning away every person who might come knocking and Gypsy knew it.

So her mother's body could lie in that bedroom for weeks going unnoticed.

And by Gypsy's own account later, apparently she couldn't bear that.

Because apparently she did want her mother to be found.

So on June 14th, she solved that problem and she did it through the internet.

So using the Facebook account she shared with her mother, a post would go up and it was just four words written as if Dee Dee's own page were announcing her own death.

Completely unexplainable to anyone who knew the saintly woman who ran that account.

And Gypsy would later claim the wording was Godejohn's idea.

And the intent to raise the alarm was gypsies.

And then when the first post didn't seem to be working fast enough, a second one went up.

And the second post is documented in court record and it said, the bitch is dead.

So that second post was a wake up call for anybody reading it and horrifying.

And it worked, because a family friend saw the posts, and sitting at a laptop in a kitchen a world away from Wisconsin, felt confusion curdle into alarm.

And calls went out to other friends and then to 911.

And that evening, Springfield police arrived at the Little Pink House, and the wheelchair sat empty on the porch.

And inside in the back bedroom, they found Dee Dee Blanchard four days gone.
