So the public did what the detectives had done and what the doctors and neighbors and charities had done before them.
And they looked at Gypsy Rose Blanchard and tried to figure out what they were looking at or what they would do in that situation.
And that question was about to become the central problem for the state of Missouri because sympathy is one thing and obviously the law is another.
So the state of Missouri now had two people in custody for the murder of Dede Blanchard.
And on paper, the charges started in the same place, first degree murder.
But where they ended could not have been more different.
