I had prepared my will.
I had flushed the toilet, made sure everything is put together.
I don't know why I was worried about those minor things, but not about what would happen if I jumped from the 12th floor of my building down to the ground below.
But this is what's going in through your mind when you've worn yourself out, or at least when I wore myself out to that point.
So George had already gone.
I texted goodbye to a friend of mine who was in Atlanta at the time.
And then she put out an APB, an all points bulletin to all of our friends to try to get over there as soon as possible.
And Mike Woods just so happens to be the first one, the Fox 5 New York weatherman, happens to be the first person to get there and to find me on the floor of my kitchen.
And then I went to bed and I woke up and my producer for World News Now and my partner, George and Mike, as well as Dan Macedo, my old co-anchor at ABC.
He was still at ABC.
We're all gathered there.
They had all come over to try to help.
And, uh, they said, you know what, we're gonna take you and put you back into, uh, or we're gonna put you, we set up an appointment for you to meet a therapist tomorrow.
And I'm like, okay, that's fine.
And Don, I don't know what it is about our mentality, or maybe it's my commitment to the show because you know, when you work the overnight shows, it's a lot of work to get people in if you call out sick, but.
I still went to work that night after I got to the point where I wanted to kill myself.
And to think back on those days, I don't understand why, or why I did not find it so important to just kind of say, you know what, I'm going to step back and take a day.
And then two days later, I went on a trip to Singapore for a shoot for us.
