I took her to Normandy, and she stood right in the middle of the American cemetery.

And that day, when I watched her cry, even though she knew a little bit about World War II and D-Day and everything.

How old?

She was about eight or nine.

Wow, okay.

And Gunner knew all about it, because Gunner was into it, and Gunner and I would watch all the war pictures and all that other stuff.

But when I took her there, and she stood in that cemetery, and she was crying...

And she understood the sacrifices that were made during that time.

I think this is what's turned her into who she – and I hope that's what turned her into who she is today.

And that's somebody who loves this country and loves Long Island, loves New York, and is obviously chirping her husband and her living.

Yeah, exactly.

It was interesting.

So I guess there was a Matthew Schaefer appearance yesterday at UBS Arena that was right around while the game was happening or right after the game ended.

Because I saw this video of him walking out and a bunch of fans waiting in a line to go get a picture or an autograph with him.

And he was wearing his Islander jersey.

He didn't have any Team Canada stuff on.

But I was thinking, oh man, this is a tough spot for him.

Because it was right after the game ended.

He knows all the people there are rooting for Team USA, and obviously he's probably bummed about it, but probably handled it all with grace.

He is 100% handled with grace, and he knows that the Islander fan absolutely adores him.
