I had a lot of people come out all over the bank.

And this is really fun for the bank because if you can get all of your staff involved, commit them to the mission that the bank is on in a manner in which they feel ownership.

Great things happen.

And so doing it in a more lengthy process involving more people, I think was really beneficial.

The strategy wasn't drastically changed, but seven years for this industry, a lot changes.

Yeah.

So we rewrote that plan, put new benchmarks in place, put new goals in place.

We've made some pretty big decisions.

And then again, quarterly reporting, how's it going?

Where are we now?

Is that behind?

Is it ahead of schedule?

And keeping everybody's feet to the fire, but not making it miserable and actually fun because everybody was part of it.

I kind of mentioned the staff involvement.

You don't have to be one of the staff that were involved, but knowing staff members that are involved, and then they were using everybody else for resources, married the staff to the process.

But then as big was the involvement of the board.

Because if the board's not aligned with what you think is the strategy, you're really going to be in trouble.

The board may not set the strategy, but at the same time, the board's got to be involved in it.

We had a really different idea and try and get resources in the right places.
