It's not solved today just because it happened yesterday.
It's a great, great concern.
It's like here we go again.
I would be very interested to find out the uh altitude, speed and direction of the aircraft from which the report came, just to work out where o off the coast the drone was was flying.
Is it it normally aircraft are about five thousand feet down there, you know, heading in to land in Dublin Airport to head west.
That's a very serious matter.
And by pure coincidence I was in Weston Airport yesterday and before this happened I looked out the window and I saw from Baldonal, which is not too far from Weston, a formation of four Chinook helicopters, which are huge helicopters of the US Army, flying in formation heading from Baldonel, presumably down southwest.
And just after they took off, a C seventeen transport aircraft of the US Air Force also took off.
So the point is they would be very juicy targets, and I hate to use that word for people who would disrupt all of our flights, commercial and military.
So we need to know the source of this drone, who's flying it, where it came from, and we need to nip it in the bud because it could happen by day and by night.
We were lucky, I think, in a way, that the aircraft that spotted this was clear of cloud.
Had it been in cloud, God knows
We do know.
A huge amount of effort has gone in, but it's all sort of close range stuff to places like an airport or a or a small town or that kind of thing.
A huge amount of assistance has been given, quite apart from what the Gardashona and the Defence Forces have themselves now invested in and trained in and have got good confidence there.
But if a thing is flying at four or five or six thousand feet and it's flying over long ranges

Close range is good.
We couldn't detect these things as far as I know if there was a sighting, you know, be it over the land or over the sea, because radars don't pick them up generally speaking.
They don't transpond and cooperate.
