When we started the whole thing, I asked how involved he wanted to be and he said he knows I'll do a great job and he trusts me, which is like the normal thing to say. But every time I tell him a plan that's been made for some of the wall options. Oh, but every time I tell him a plan that's been made, he has some off the wall opinions. He is a sweet man who is just excited for our wedding.
But how the heck do I shut down these cringy suggestions without making him feel like I don't care about what he wants? P.S. I love you both.
I don't even know who would wish their partner to be more involved. Yeah.
Yeah. You want like free reign. Cause unless if they're going to agree with you, like thanks point, like I was going to do it anyway. And if they're just going to disagree with you, like it's just more conflicted. Weddings are already like so full of conflict.
I think if you have a strong opinion about a couple things, like I remember in my wedding, my husband had a couple strong opinions about stuff of things that like he wanted. And it's like, okay, let's definitely do those. Cause like, sure. Why not? You want fireworks in our first dance or like sparklers or whatever. Cool. Like, it's not important to me, but like, it's not a deal breaker. Yeah.
So like, I think every guy should get like the couple things, but I don't think guys should have that many things. Like, why do they, why would a guy care so much about specific things? Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. And also the worst is when people are like, I don't care, babe, do whatever my princess. And then they come in and they're like, Oh, I don't like this, that, this and that. And it's like, well, am I your princess?
I think there's a lot of guys who have no... Like, I had a big wedding. Sure. It gets carried away. It's the industry. They make you get carried away.
Every girl who gets engaged is like, I want to have a small wedding. Like, I would elope. I really don't care about my wedding. Like, winds up having a huge wedding. There's no getting out of it.
How did this happen? It's like, okay, no, if I'm having a wedding, like I do need flowers on the table.
Well, do you get whatever flowers?
Like, do you think it's just about money or like do whatever you want with the invitations? And she designs an invitation that he has critiques on.
Even people who have unlimited budget still fight about their weddings. Look at Brooklyn and Nicola and their families.
