Well, no.
It's not that I showed him.
I know.
I'm just being silly.
But you know what I'm saying?
I didn't want to be more than him because I knew that I wasn't.
I just wanted to be equal with him.
Okay.
And I think when he heard keep pushing, I think that was a signal to him that I had kind of arrived at a new place.
And I think he respected it.
He liked that song.
And that was the beginning of, you know, bands have an arc.
And, you know, and Gary and I, our arcs kind of met right after this period that we're talking about now.
You know, that was actually, I can't take credit for that.
That was our keyboard player, Neil Dowdy.
I've adapted it and I've used it for sure.
We kind of felt like, when I came out to LA and we rehearsed for the first time,
We started with Keep Pushin', and then we started playing some of the songs off REO-TWO, the album I was on, and they sounded different.
They sounded better.
The band sounded tighter.
