The Staten Island dump was like one of the three things you like conceptually knew about Staten Island if you knew nothing else about it.
I knew there was a ferry.
I knew that the Verrazano Bridge went there.
And I knew that there was a giant garbage dump there.
I remember people would bring the dump up inside the first five moves.
It would be like, fucking dump.
You could see it from space.
Fucking dump's gross.
You know what I mean?
Crazy.
I fully remember the first time somebody was like, you can see it from space.
I was like, that's fucked.
Like, what are you talking about?
You can't, you can see like three things from space, like the Great Wall of China and the fucking dump.
It was 10 minutes by car.
Yeah, if you drove from our house to go to the Staten Island Mall, you could see the dump in 10 minutes.
There were times you'd look and there'd be like a thousand seagulls hanging out on top of the dump.
And you'd be like, all right, because they're like picking fucking garbage seed.
And then they'd be like...
A smell, like sometimes it'd be like on a breezy wafting day, you'd be like, oh yeah, it smells like shit.
