Yeah, I mean, this is the thing about finance.

We use jargon with different terminology.

A big part of it is driven by what's common in the US because that's where a lot of the educational content comes from.

But I think it's always good to think about things in principles, like what we're doing.

You have money or capital, right?

You have money.

You know, well, yes.

Not yet.

So we have this thing called inflation eating behind us.

Or we want to use the capital or money we have today to purchase something in the future.

And we want to add to it, right?

So we want to use investing as a tool to purchase something in the future.

We have a choice.

We could try and see if we could do something with that money ourselves, right?

What would that be?

The US term would be to set up a lemonade stand or, you know, something, right?

Or we could give the money to a company that we believe will do a better job with that money than us, right?

So that money will grow.

But we don't invest in just one company because it creates much higher risk.
