I still miss Parts Unknown with Anthony Bourdain.
I still miss that.
But in the meantime, we have a part that's partially known, if you will, and that is Cubs Cardinals looks a lot better after the Cubs were able to split the series with the Pirates and take down a Paul Skeens game.
That win was one that came with patience, but at the same time still got done.
They get a happy flight out of Pittsburgh after the 7-2 win and head to St.
Louis for Cubs Cardinals, which is still special to me.
And I think you and I, as we were discussing backstage, were sharing the same or had the same thought at the same time.
And maybe it was after Ian Happ hit the two-run homer to make it 5-2 Cubs hitting dead red on the first pitch.
It was a great homerun.
Ian Happ goes from one of the worst slumps of his career to one of the best swings I've seen him make with the Cubs.
That home run, he had it timed perfectly.
He said, this guy's throwing me a fastball, 97 miles per hour, and Happ just jacks it out.
Of course, he hit the three-run homer on Wednesday, so this has been a glorious time for one Ian Happ.
But, yes, after that home run was hit, I was thinking...
Okay, deep breath for a lot of reasons.
10-game losing streak is a 10-game losing streak, but Cubs Cardinals in St.
Louis, which starts tonight, 6-15 here on the score, feels a lot better.
It would have felt very dangerous if the Cubs had lost yesterday or even the losing streak kept going because then maybe you go into this even deeper hole and things come unraveled in the place you would least likely or at least like to see come unraveled if you are a Cubs fan.
