Trey Savage, if there was a bright spot from going 24 innings without scoring a run, I guess it would be that Trey Savage's command was a little better yesterday.
He was able to get a quality start, three earned over six innings.
So nothing...
you know, nothing that's going on the first paragraph of his Wikipedia page or anything like that, but a step forward in terms of giving them some length, showing giving them a little bit more command.
What did you see from your savage yesterday?
Yes, he only got four swing and miss on the splitter and slider combined, which is very, very low.
And most notably, they did not chase a slider.
So they didn't swing a slider outside of the zone.
And they only swung at 25% of the splitters outside of the zone.
So very low by Trey Savage standards.
